Peter BegleyShannon SunderlandImpact Hub Boulder Managing Director, has been a creative business owner in the arts community for the past decade. She comes to Impact Hub with a breadth of experience spanning software industry, non-profits, membership organizations, as well as the private sector in both corporate and small business settings. When she is not at the Impact Hub, you can find her exploring with her two young sons, finding ways to promote and support artists in her local community, and firing up her blowtorch in pursuit of a passion for metalsmithing. Greg BerryGreg BerryImpact Hub Boulder Entrepreneur In Residence, Co-Founder, and Board Director, focuses on supporting members’ endeavors, continuing to evolve Hub’s events and programming, and represents Hub in strategic partnerships in Colorado and throughout the global Impact Hub network. Greg is a serial entrepreneur.  In his 25-year career, Greg has been part of eight entrepreneurial teams, including Impact Hub Boulder. For the past ten years, he has focused his career on sustainability and positive social impact.  He has created award-winning media properties, and produced elite conferences on three continents. In addition to Impact Hub Boulder, Greg is the co-founder and Board Chair of W1SDØM (www.w1sd0m.net), a network and matching platform that increases the flow of intellectual, social, human and financial to social entrepreneurs around the world.  Greg currently hosts, speaks at, and moderates social enterprise and impact investing events on a regular basis in Boulder and Denver.  Learn more about Greg at his LinkedIn site.

Peter BegleyPeter BegleyImpact Hub Boulder CFO, brings over fifteen years of operations and finance experience to the team with a background in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. An entrepreneur early in his career, Peter co-founded a photography company and while not on assignment he spent time mentoring emerging photographers and other creative entrepreneurs. Peter’s non-profit experience includes his current position as Director of Finance & Operations at Mountain Shadows Montessori School where he also sits on the board, serving as a Board Member for Boston-based Peace in Focus since 2009, and five years as the Director of Finance and Operations for Pioneer Institute. Tim SmisekTim SmisekImpact Hub Boulder Host, has spent the past three years living and touring around Europe. With a passion for music and art, he moved to Paris after graduating from Columbia College Chicago and quickly formed a community of diverse and talented professionals in the entertainment industry.  Together, they organized film festivals and art galleries, recorded albums and launched fundraisers, booked tours spanning numerous countries and capital cities, and most importantly, focused their efforts on creating positive change in the local and global communities. After spending his final year abroad in Prague, he decided to return to the United States and make Boulder, Colorado his new home. Lindsey BrownLindsey BrownHost, is a recent graduate of the University of Colorado, where she earned a degree in Environmental Studies. During her time at CU she was an Outreach and Events Intern for New Era Colorado, Research Assistant for the Association for Sustainability in Higher Education’s STARS Program, and Program Assistant for CU Sustainable Practices Program. She also worked as Operations and Outreach Intern for CU nLab (now CU Ideas Launcher) a collaboration between the CU Environmental Center and the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship whose aim is to help students cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit, and provide them with the resources they needed to turn their ideas into reality. She is driven by the idea that responsible and restorative business models can be the drivers of positive change. Joshua ChecnJoshua ChenEvents Intern, is a fifth year student at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying Interpersonal Communication, Leadership, and Human Resources Management. At the intersection of his love for technology and social entrepreneurship came tBridges, an organization seeking to teach older adults how technology can enrich their everyday lives. He is driven by a core belief that “everyone has a story that needs to be heard”, and believes that technology can provide unique avenues through which cross-generational relationships can be formed. He was drawn to Impact Hub Boulder after discovering their emphasis on collaboration, learning, and creation of positive impact for the world. Megan WhiteMegan WhiteHost Intern, is currently a senior at the University of Colorado, where she is studying Sociology. She has spent the majority of her time in college interning with Concerts For Kids, a local non-profit in Denver, volunteering as a youth group leader, and starting a branch at CU of a nationwide social venture aimed towards creating social businesses in Kenya. With a great passion for environmental and social justice, and a newfound interest in sustainability (after studying abroad this summer in New Zealand), she knows that businesses sit at the core of making positive social impact, and hopes to dedicate her life to that tangible goal. When not at school, work, with her youth group, or now at the HUB, you can find her hiking, running, cycling, backpacking in the Rockies, reading, and getting cups of coffee with friends. Caryn CapricciosoCaryn Capriccioso, Board Director, has a career that spans the nonprofit, government and for-profit sectors with a focus on strategic and business planning, social enterprise and earned income development, and building cross-sector partnerships. Caryn is co-founder and principal partner at interSector Partners, L3C, the country’s 39th L3C and the first doing business in Colorado. She holds a master of nonprofit management from Regis University, serves as chair of Social Venture Partners Boulder County and is a member of the Director’s Club for Rocky Mountain Microfinance Institute. She speaks regularly at local, statewide and national conferences on the topics of innovation, convergence, emerging business structures and social enterprise/entrepreneurship including recent engagements at the Social Enterprise Summit/World Forum, and the Net Impact and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network national conferences. Her varied career includes serving as director of women’s services at the YWCA of Greater Lansing; founder and principal of a grantwriting firm, Your Write Hand; executive director of the Boulder Parks and Recreation Foundation (now PLAY Boulder); director of planning services and social enterprise at JVA Consulting, LLC; and community liaison positions with the city of Boulder.  Learn more about Caryn at her LinkedIn site.

Jim DavidsonJim Davidson Board Director, is an early-stage investor and advisor with over 20-years of internet technology experience. Previously, he was a senior leader at Aol where he served as CTO of DigitalCity, the internet’s first hyper-local portal, and later as VP of Web Services and Publishing, where he led teams responsible for some of the most innovative and high-scale sites including Aol.com and MapQuest. Jim has also been a leader at early-stage companies including: CTO of ShareThis.com, President of Examiner.com, and co-founder and CEO of Laborfair.com, an online marketplace for disadvantaged service providers. Jim is now focused on early-stage impact-investing, providing capital and advice for companies which leverage technology to further their social-benefit and sustainability missions. He is also guarantor and loan committee member of MicroCredit Enterprises which helps fund micro-loans around the world. Tyler HartungTyler Hartung’s background is not in coming up with the next great idea but instead in executing  them as has been apparent in his roles as program manager for alumni services at he University of Colorado and in his consulting role with Uganda’s Masaka Elders Microfinance Coop.  Although trained in finance and math, and having a history planning and executing large scale events, Tyler now focuses on doing whatever it takes to make one of the most extraordinary social enterprise start-ups of the past decade — the Unreasonable Institute  –  happen as its vice president of finance and operations.

Scott KiereScott Kiere Board Director, is Co-Founder & CEO of eVolutionary Green Holdings, LLC, a Strategic Business Development & Investment Company, focusing on the environmentally sustainable products, services, technologies and real estate development processes that are part of tomorrow’s solutions, today. Scott successfully mixes practical wisdom with pragmatic business growth strategies and execution experience in his many executive roles. As CEO of eVolutionary Green Holdings, he manages a small portfolio of companies, including Urban Green Development, where, as a Principal, he serves as President & CEO. He is currently serving as a Director of the Board for Impact Hub Boulder; and has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Social Venture Network.
